The fee is a real consideration and it deserves a straight answer rather than a form to fill out. Here is exactly what sessions cost, how reimbursement works, and what to check with your insurer before we begin.

Weekly sessions are the usual rhythm. Consistency does more for this work than session length does.
Private pay. I do not bill insurance directly. I provide a monthly superbill you can submit to your insurer for out-of-network reimbursement, and many plans reimburse a portion of the fee. Checking your out-of-network outpatient mental health benefit before we start is worth the phone call.
The initial consultation is free, and cancellations need 48 hours' notice.

How out-of-network reimbursement works
I am a private-pay practice and do not bill insurance directly. Each month I provide a superbill, a receipt with the diagnostic and procedure codes your insurer needs, which you submit to your plan for out-of-network reimbursement. Many PPO plans reimburse a percentage of the fee once an out-of-network deductible has been met.
Three questions worth asking your insurer before we start: Do I have out-of-network outpatient mental health benefits? What is my out-of-network deductible and how much of it have I met? What percentage of the allowed amount do you reimburse per session?
Working outside of insurance is a real cost, and it also means your treatment is not shaped by a company's authorization requirements, session limits, or record requests. For clients whose privacy is a professional necessity, that difference matters more than the arithmetic.
Payment is due at the time of session. Changes and cancellations need 48 hours' notice.
